- In the base game Vesta's mine maps are printed on sturdy 2mm-chipboard, in the deluxe we use 1.5-mm neoprene mats.
- These provide a non-slip, non-abrasive surface for the mine's Mahjong-style tiles.
- The tiles are painted wood with the symbols carved and color inlaid.
- This reduces wear for a long life of satisfying play.
